We’re delighted to welcome private
pilots to Southern Oregon and in particular to the Ashland area,
where we average about 300 flyable days a year.
As a commercial pilot and passionate homebuilder
(with a Q2 aircraft close to completion), John’s greatest pleasures
are flying and hangar flying. We’re only about four miles from the Ashland Airport (S03)
which deserves a higher profile as an aviation resource. The airport itself is pleasant and convenient
and the FBO, Skinner Aviation, runs an excellent shop that is highly responsive.
If you’re just here overnight we’ll be glad to pick you up
and drive you out to stay with us, then return you to the airport. If you want to see the area,
Enterprise (541-488-7878) and Super Saver Rent-A-Car (541-488-7285) are both located on the near side
of town and can equip you with wheels.
The Rogue Valley is a great place for flying. The topography
is fascinating and there are lots of interesting sights nearby, including Mt. Shasta and Crater Lake.
To please your passengers, Ashland offers many opportunities on the ground: great scenery, a charming,
pedestrian-oriented downtown, one of America’s finest repertory theaters, antique shops and bookstores,
and a variety of top-flight restaurants.
We’re just a few hours’ flight from most areas on the West Coast
and we’d love to help you discover Ashland.
