BEDS & BREAKFAST

If “space can be poetry” then surely
the Mountain House is an old-time ballad. First an inn, a pioneer outpost in the wilderness, then the heart of a thriving ranch, at length the Mountain House changed hands and fell on hard times. Now, over 150 years later, the farmhouse is fully restored and again welcoming travelers to the Rogue Valley.

B&B visitors can choose among four guest spaces in the big yellow farmhouse and the small Brick Building. All are distinctive, but each has a large private bathroom, in-room AC and TV, and pleasurable furnishings.

Breakfast is a full meal that’s home-made, delicious, and largely organic. We serve between 8 and 10 a.m. at the big friendly table in the dining room or at a private table set just for you. In summer we highly recommend the back deck as a place to enjoy your breakfast and linger with another cup of coffee.

  • All guest rooms have large private bathrooms
  • All are located on the second floor. The Russell Room in the farmhouse and the self-contained Brick Building have private entrances.
  • All guest rooms have individually controlled air conditioning, satellite TV with HBO and Wi-Fi (high-speed wireless Internet connections).
  • The entire facility is non-smoking.
  • Guests have full access to the parlor, library, game room, dining room, porches and deck.
  • The site is also yours to enjoy, with six acres of shady lawn, organic gardens, fields and woods.
